Golden Dragon Bus and the Red Ribbon
Today, we wake up very early (3:am) as my husband leaves to Xiamen with the Golden Dragon Bus Group for a 3-day work in the the Xiamen Plant.
He’s taking Philippine Airlines and it takes off at 7:20 am from NAIA Terminal 2. The standard procedure now for an international flight, is to check in 3 hours before the estimated time of departure for the counter check in, immigration formalities and to be in the boarding gate 45 minutes before take off.
Before he put the suitcase in the car trunk, I tied a red ribbon on the blue suitcase. I do it whenever he or I flies. . The idea is to distinguish our bag from the hundreds of bags in the conveyor that look almost all the same. And tying a red ribbon on its handle will make it distinguishable meters away from us..
Before this red ribbon tying, I put my wondering face almost to all blue suitcases walking in the conveyor, pushing my body to the one in front of me and sometimes someone gets an angry smiley from me or sometimes someone put his angry smiley on me. With the advent of this idea, it allows me to a very smooth retrieval of my bag or suitcase in the international arrival area.
Back to my husband, Off he went and just a moment ago, I received a call from Xiamen (of course from him) telling me he arrived safely and hassle free at the airport and currently enjoying chinese dishes with his boss and the rest of the group.
I forgot to mention my husband is working for the operator of Golden Dragon Bus, Philippine Branch.

On July 18, 2008, Chinese Top 500 Machinery Report Conference was held in Beijing International Hotel.
